Road Safety Act 2006

From February 27th 2007 the current automatic fine of £30 is set to double to £60, along with 3 penalty points on your licence if you are caught using your mobile while driving. The change comes with an amendment to the Road Safety Act 2006.

Driver could also be prosecuted for careless driving or dangerous driving with higher penalty.
